Rivers of concrete

People going to, people going fro, zipping through the city at inhuman speeds isolated within chambers made of steel and plastic and glass. Maybe as our distances become smaller our worlds become bigger?

Ooh! Ooh! I bought a shiny new camera! Look! Look!

...and it begins. The unraveling of simplicty. With that little gizmo in your hand and a pleased smile on your face you turn west to amble toward your living quarters.
Then a tought emerges. This shiny object, documenter of images, reenforcer of concepts, My Precious...My Precious... to precious to set on the floor or even a counter... I need a place to set My Precious thoose won't do, won't do at all. Your strides veer you ever so slightly to the left, then more to the left, then the woosh of automatic doors and you have enterd CostPlus. Yes...yes, an end table. That will do the trick. The pleased smile turns wry. You are not quite sure but you sense a litle whir emitting from My Preciuous. In the corner of your eye you spot a curio. Just a little nick knack, but ooh so interesting. How would it look at different shutter speeds... angles..lighting...an end table and a decorative object for My Precious... and so it begins

How are you going to get an end table home on your bike?
